The Peninsula London
Complex building technologies systems, delivered working.
The building technologies systems are the last thing to go in — and the first thing that can put a programme at risk. Our job is to take that risk away. We do what we promise, when we promised it. For 34 years.

We Deliver
Digital estate & building operating systems
Audio visual, IT & communication
Building management, automation & lighting
Command & control, data centre & UPS
At OKTO you deal with one team, with specialist expertise across every discipline — Digital Estate and Digital Building Operating systems, Building Management, Audio Visual and IT.
A senior director is accountable on every major project, involved from concept to completion and directly contactable at all times. When you need a decision or an answer, you get it from someone with the authority to give it. And you get the same people every time — the team that delivered your last project delivers the next one.
Deadlines get met because we do whatever it takes to meet them.
01 · How we work
How we work
Most of our projects bring multiple building technology and communication systems together into one building. That complexity is our problem to manage, not yours.
34 years has taught us that the best results come from getting involved early. When we sit down with you, your design team and your construction team at the start, we understand exactly what you need the building to do — and we design the technical systems around that outcome, not the other way round.
Before anything reaches site, we run technical workshops, R&D and proof-of-concept testing with the manufacturers, and build custom pieces where your project needs them. You get systems proven to work before they are installed, not promises that they will.
Everything is brought together on identical open source software. For you, that means one way of operating the building instead of a different interface for every discipline — simpler for your team to run, and simpler to manage for the life of the building.

02 · Responsibility
One company, responsible for all of it
AV and IT, lighting controls, BMS, guest room management — one integrator, one point of responsibility.
When something doesn't work in the last week of a job, you don't want three specialists blaming each other in front of your client. With OKTO there is no gap between trades for a problem to fall into. If it's a system, it's ours, and we sort it.
03 · Engineering · OKTOLabs
Offsite production, commissioning and integration testing

Every system we deliver is fully staged and commissioned off-site before it goes anywhere near your building — including full integration testing with the running firmware, the finalised release-candidate software and the completed graphics.
We build, commission and programme the systems at OKTOLabs, our facility in Lisburn, and invite you and your stakeholders to witness them working. Any anomaly with the equipment or the user experience is found and fixed there — not discovered on your site, in the last weeks of the programme.
For you that means three things. The biggest risk in any building technology programme — commissioning problems on site — is dealt with before delivery. Our time on your site is kept to a minimum, after your finishes are in. And what's left for site is proving the working systems in your building and tuning them, so your programme is shorter and more certain.
In occupied buildings, the same process means installation without disruption: the systems arrive working, and your staff barely notice us.
04 · Programme
When your programme changes

Construction programmes move. Dates change, designs change, priorities change — often while the systems are already being built.
We plan meticulously, coordinate closely with every stakeholder, and react quickly when your programme demands it. When a problem appears — and on complex projects it always does — we fix it rather than write letters about it. No excuses, and it never becomes your problem.
Where standard products won't do what your project needs, we develop bespoke controls in house, working directly with the suppliers, so you get exactly the engineering the building requires — not the nearest off-the-shelf compromise.
What clients say about us
“The factory acceptance tests we have been involved with the last couple of days have been a resounding success and cement the positive influence OKTO have had on the Peninsula Project. OKTO have continued to outperform the norm at every turn.”
Who we work with
Main contractors
The final three months are where margins go to die. One accountable owner of the digital integration environment changes the shape of the programme.
M&E contractors
The interfaces between packages are where the risk lives. Single-point responsibility for the building technology scope, and one number to call.
Estates directors
Hundreds of critical systems, each raising its own alerts. CIDE-OS translates the live state of the estate into the language of consequence — what it means, and what to do next — closing the gap between the data and the decision.
Corporate occupiers
Every room has to work for the people in it and the people at home. Standardised AV estates, installed without disturbing a working office, supported after handover.

Handover is not the finish line — it's the day your client starts living with what we built.
The same team that delivered your project looks after it afterwards. When something needs attention, you get a fast response from people who know the building — not a ticket number. Your snag list closes, and stays closed.
Your reputation with your client doesn't end at practical completion, and neither does our responsibility to you.
You made a promise to your client. Our job is to make sure you keep it.
